Bookshelf Central came into existence in February of 2009, after Dana Caywood purchased the Bookshelf from Lampstand Press. The location moved from Maryland to Kingsport, Tennessee. In late 2022, we moved our location to Fall Branch, Tennessee.

Dana Caywood (Owner) homeschooled three active boys for 17 years, teaching all of them from Kindergarten through their high school graduation. She has been married to Mikel since 1984. Mikel and Dana have three adult sons and eight grandchildren! In addition to her years of experience in homeschooling, including years using Tapestry of Grace, Dana also served on the writing team and management staff of Lampstand Press for 17 years.
