Metamorphosis, The

This unabridged novella was first published in 1915 and is about living in an indifferent universe and has long been considered a seminal work of Existentialist literature. The first sentence of the story will give you an idea regarding the absurd and interesting storyline: “As Gregor Samsa awoke one morning out of restless dreams, he found himself in bed, transformed into a gargantuan pest.”
